Welcome to Kiddy Cook in the West Sussex. Our award-winning cooking & baking classes and workshops introduce children to a variety of ingredients and help them to prepare delicious, healthy recipes to take home and cook. Here at Kiddy Cook, we’re dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people across the UK by inspiring them to have fun with food, while instilling the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Meet Kiddy Cook West Sussex

Hi, My name is Claire and I run CookieTots classes for pre-school children, Kiddy Cook classes for 4 to 11 year olds and cookery parties in Horsham, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and the surrounding areas.

With two children aged 7 and 4, I know how difficult it can be to get children to eat a varied, nutritious diet. Research shows that children that learn to prepare and cook meals are less fussy about food and eat more healthily. I have seen this with my own children and this has spurred me on to join Kiddy Cook.

Kiddy Cook and CookieTots classes teach children how to prepare and cook ‘good’ food and encourage them to taste different foods in a fun environment. Our classes also help develop practical maths skills, team work (including turn taking), self confidence and creativity (amongst other things). We also incorporate hands-on experiments in our Kiddy Cook classes which are designed to help children understand the science of food.

Our parties can be designed around your needs. Some examples include teddy bear’s picnics for pre-schoolers (including the preparation of their own party tea), making cupcakes or biscuits, ‘gastro kids’ (which could be based around a particular cuisine of the world) or kitchen science parties where children get to perform their own food experiments. We can also include activities and games based around food and cooking. The possibilities are endless!

Kiddy Cook also run classes in nurseries, children's centres and schools. We have lesson plans that could form a series of cookery or food science classes, enrich topics children are learning about (such as the medieval or victorian periods) or celebrate a special day. We can also do breakfast, lunch or after school clubs at schools. I currently run two very successful after school clubs in a school, but I would like to do more so if your school is interested please contact me.

If you would like to find out more about what is available or would like to attend one of my classes, please get in touch.

I look forward to meeting you,
