Hello

Welcome to Kiddy Cook in the London . Our award-winning cooking & baking classes and workshops introduce children to a variety of ingredients and help them to prepare delicious, healthy recipes to take home and cook. Here at Kiddy Cook, we’re dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people across the UK by inspiring them to have fun with food, while instilling the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Meet Kiddy Cook in the London

Hello! I“m Anna-Lou, fresh pasta enthusiast and food-obsessed Italian.

I was born in Florence, Italy and moved to the UK twenty years ago. The wonderful richness of London’s food scene played a big part in my decision to make London my home – even now I am still discovering new places, new cuisines, new cultures. After working as a children and families social worker for fifteen years, I decided to bring my other great love into my professional life- cooking! I have a passion for bringing people together through the simple act of creating a meal- to me food is not just fuel, but nurturing relationships, culture, learning, occasionally therapy, and, most of all, fun! I love creating a sense of occasion and helping other people to discover the magic and sense of achievement that comes from cooking something from scratch.

Over the years I have gained a lot of experience cooking with children through my work, and alongside Kiddy Cook South East London I run a social enterprise providing cooking support groups to vulnerable children and families.

We are available for school and after-school classes and whole school workshops, where together we can explore how cooking and food is linked to everything, from science to geography, to maths and even politics. We have tons of fun experiments and interesting food-related activities to broaden children’s horizons and stimulate their natural curiosity. We are also available for private parties and celebrations, where your children will be able to choose from our super-fun formats, such as Food Science or Master Chef Challenge, or we will help you create your own bespoke one! Finally, if you are after private cooking lessons for your children or teenagers, we are there for you- our experience in cooking gluten-free and plant-based dishes means we can help you to enjoy more delicious foods as a family if you or your children have to have a restricted diet for health or other reasons.

Do get in touch if you have any questions- I am so looking forward to meeting you and sharing the foodie fun.

Weekly After School Kitchen Science Clubs... Back in September 2020!

We are currently working with a number of schools across SE London. What schools are we currently running clubs in?

La Fontaine Academy (Deliciously La Fontaine)

Dulwich College (Kitchen Science)

...not to mention the breadth of the United Kingdom!

If you know a school that needs a COVID-secure Cookery / Healthy Eating / Kitchen Science after school club, get in touch!

Our Deliciously Yours range of classes covers a broad range of cooking techniques, inspirations, cultures, ingredients and equipment, giving children a broad understanding of different kinds of food and confidence in building flavours.

Our Kitchen Science clubs centre around a different theme each week which is built upon with a fun, tasty recipe that brings home the point. It might be creating and harnessing Carbon Dioxide in our food or how microbes can be used for good or bad. Either way, these interactive, fun sessions build lessons on both fronts.

We are currently rolling out in-school workshops and assemblies across a whole range of areas and themes, from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Fairtrade, Sugar Shocker, Taste not Waste, the journey from Farm to Plate and many more. We have so many ideas for how to work with schools to bring the maximum experience for children using minimal resources, bringing to life the curriculum-based work already being done in schools. Get in touch to discuss further how we can work with your school!

Meet The Crew

Elisabetta

is an Italian Earth Mother who has lived in the UK for many years and has her family here with her. She cooks healthy, delicious food, from the heart and full of gentle, kind love. This is what she has to say! "I have cooked all my life, learned from my mother and grandmother. I believe that cooking is an essential life skill and one of the great pleasures in life. I run my own foraging and jam/ chutney business and have been teaching cooking in primary schools and privately for a few years now."

I thoroughly enjoy working for KiddyCook and teaching classes in a fun and approachable way. I have had over 8 years experience within the food industry whilst being a busy mum. I have the pleasure of running one of the Tiger Bites kitchens, recent winners of Million Pound Menu. It's so fab being able to share my skills with the children. It’s super seeing how proud they are when they leave with their finished product.

My name is Ruby and I have been running Kiddy Cook classes for over a year. I enjoy working with children and cooking and this position gives me the opportunity to do so. The classes are fun and enjoyable. The children love cooking different nutritious meals and learn the importance of healthy eating, which I believe is a life skill. My role is rewarding and meaningful which will be beneficial to the children throughout their lives to make the right choices about food.
