Helping Schools put cooking on the curriculum

Kiddy Cook delivers imaginative, cross curriculum cookery workshops, teaching children the importance of healthy eating as part of a healthy lifestyle. We provide all utensils, aprons and ingredients, and recipes can be prepared without the need for cooking facilities.

General Workshops

Your class may be at the end of a topic and you'd like to consolidate their learning, or maybe you just want to treat them for all their hard work! We have lots of cooking activity workshops designed to 'whet your appetite' and we can also tailor sessions to suit the needs of your curriculum, topical issues or special events.

10 Week Food Foundation Programme

Kiddy Cook’s Food Foundation Programme is a 10 week cross curricular education intervention aimed at improving health related knowledge and behaviours in children. Each week has a single 90 minute session, works according to the National Curriculum and covers a variety of topics. Children prepare a different recipe each week to take home and cook.

Food Science Workshops

Highly interactive, curriculum-led science workshops using food as the basis. We have 12 ‘whacky’ workshops that bring both cooking and science into the equation (so real value for money).

After School Club

Kiddy Cook’s Kitchen Science Club is an afterschool cooking activity programme exclusively for local primary schools. We offer ‘wow’ assemblies to ‘whet kid’s appetites’ and then follow up with our afterschool clubs. We incorporate FOOD and SCIENCE into each lesson, so each child has a phenomenal experience preparing a FANTASTIC RECIPE whilst discovering just how much fun food science can be!

Healthy Eating Assembly

Kiddy Cook's Sugar Shocker assembly provides a fantastic, interactive session for pupils to learn about how much sugar they should consume and how much sugar they are likely to be consuming. The session uses great visual displays which help even early years children understand the importance of thinking about what they eat.

Raising Achievement

Kiddy Cook workshops can contribute positively to raising achievement, giving students plenty of opportunities to practice a whole range of skills. Recipes and experiments are designed to enrich topics requested by your school and support the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2 National Curriculum subjects and, because every school has different requirements, our workshops are tailored to meet individual needs.
