Nikki Geddes - Hale

Hi,

I'm Nikki & I'm the owner of Kiddy Cook as well as class leader for CookieTots Hale & Altrincham, Bramhall & Wilmslow areas of Cheshire. Kiddy Cook was born out of my own passion for cooking and how to get kids involved in the kitchen is based on my own experience with my own children.

I am the mother of 2 children aged 7 & 5 and I started Kiddy Cook in 2005 (pretty much on an ad hoc basis when we relocated from London to Cheshire due to my husbands job). Requests for classes and parties grew to such an extent that I decided to expand the brand to create CookieTots - the first cooking activity for pre-school children - and the business continues to go from strength to strength.

The whole premise of Kiddy Cook and Cookie Tots is to get children excited by food - Kiddy Cook kids don't just get to make a cake - they learn how to create carbon dioxide to show them how their cakes and biscuits grow in the oven. They learn the difference between taste and flavour and think about the affect sound has on their ability to eat! Our pre-schoolers get involved with easy to make recipes and then join in with games and activities based around food and cooking.
